Sheikh Mansur Sokoto (MNI)

Sheikh Prof. Mansur Ibrahim Sokoto is a renowned Nigerian scholar of Hadith and Islamic sciences. Born in Sokoto in 1969, he began his Islamic education under local scholars before advancing to the Islamic African Center in Khartoum and later the Islamic University of Madinah, where he specialized in Hadith. His journey reflects a deep commitment to both traditional learning and modern academic scholarship.

He is a Professor of Hadith at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, where he has taught and mentored students for nearly three decades. Beyond academia, Sheikh Mansur has played a vital role in Islamic finance, serving as a Shari’ah advisor to banks and institutions, and has contributed significantly to policy discussions through his fellowship at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru.

Alongside his academic and professional work, Sheikh Mansur is deeply engaged in daʿwah and community development. Through centers such as An-Nur Islamic Center and Imam Malik Islamic Center, he organizes tafsir, lectures, and outreach programs, firmly rooted in the teachings of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaʿah. His blend of scholarship, teaching, and community service makes him a respected voice in both religious and national life.
