Sheikh Hasib Noor

Sheikh Hasib Noor is of Afghan heritage, raised in the United States, and profoundly devoted to traditional Islamic learning. He began his journey studying in high school and college in the US, and later moved to Madinah where he attended the College of Islamic Law. In Madinah, he spent over a decade studying under more than 50 scholars. His studies include Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), Usūl al-Fiqh and Iftā’, Hadith, Qurʾānic sciences and Tafsīr, the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, as well as Islamic history and related fields.

Professionally, he is the Founder & Director of The Legacy Institute, which is dedicated to education and research in Islamic studies. He is also one of the founders of Faith.Global, a platform that facilitates faith-based community spaces in cities like London, New York City, Austin, San Diego, and Ottawa. He has also served as an instructor for AlMaghrib Institute and holds roles in various organizations, mosques and khitābah (delivering sermons) engagements.

In his preaching and methodology, Sheikh Hasib Noor places a strong emphasis on making classical Islamic sciences accessible to a modern audience without sacrificing depth. He combines scholarly rigor with practical spirituality, teaching both the inner dimensions (like character, spiritual refinement, understanding the Seerah) and the outward legal/scientific aspects of Islam. He also engages in preserving Islamic history, including archaeological sites and historical landmarks, especially in the Sacred Cities, and is involved in research work connected to the Center for Historical Studies of Madinah and other institutions.
