Maryam Lemu

Maryam Lemu was born on January 29, 1973, the youngest daughter of Dr. Sheikh Ahmed Lemu and Bridget Anne Aisha Lemu. She grew up in a home deeply grounded in Islamic values, character development, scholarship and public service, which shaped her sense of purpose and service.

Professionally, Mrs. Lemu has over three decades of experience in leadership, administration, communication and development. She currently serves as Head of Administration & Resource Management at New Horizons College, Minna, and is a Director at ProStart Consultants, a capacity-building consulting firm. Earlier in her career, she lived in the United States, working in sales, marketing, people management and life skills training, before returning to Nigeria to focus on educational administration and leadership.

Her public work is strongly focussed on marital and premarital guidance, relationship coaching, personal development, character and values-driven leadership. She produces a certified premarital masterclass, regular seminars and workshops (both local and international), hosts TV/radio shows (eg Sisterly on Alif TV, Ramadan shows on NTA), publishes video content and provides mentorship. Her approach is very practical: helping individuals and couples build marriages that are based on purpose, good communication, empathy, shared values and spiritual growth.
